Dealing with the Aftermath of Floods
The Pesticide Section is responsible for administering the N.C. Pesticide Law of 1971 and pursuant regulations adopted by the N.C. Pesticide Board. The Section handles pesticide product registration; collection for and administration of the Pesticide Environmental Trust Fund; examination, licensing, certification and continuing certification of commercial and private pesticide applicators, dealers, and consultants; and conducts outreach, education, and training. Pesticide field staff ensure compliance in areas such as, the Worker Protection Standard, pesticide storage and disposal, bulk containment, recordkeeping, formulation testing, and misuse investigations.
The Structural Pest Control Section is responsible for administering the N.C. Structural Pest Control Act of 1955 and pursuant regulations adopted by the NC Structural Pest Control Committee. To that end, the Section handles compliance, enforcement, education, and outreach for the prevention, control, and elimination of Household Pests & Wood Destroying Insects/Organisms in, on, under, or around structures.
The Sleep Products Section is responsible for administering the N.C. Bedding Law of 1937 and pursuant regulations adopted by the NC Board of Agriculture. To that end, the Section handles compliance, enforcement, education, and outreach for the manufacture, sale, and sanitization of bedding, bedding products, & upholstered furniture.
