Existen dos exámenes nuevos para obtener la certificación para aplicar pesticidas y están disponibles en español. Éstos son el Examen para Aplicadores Privados y el Examen de Plantas Ornamentales y Césped.

Misión de la Sección de Pesticidas:

Protejer la salud, seguridad y bienestar del público y promover la calidad ambiental reduciendo y manejando los riesgos relacionados con el uso legal de pesticidas mediante la administración y ejecución de la Ley de Pesticidas de Carolina del Norte de 1971, y de acuerdo con los reglamentos aprovados por el Consejo de Pesticidas de Carolina del Norte.

La Sección de Pesticidas cuenta con un miembro bilingüe en su personal. También ofrece los siguientes servicios y materiales en español:

Breve orientación acerca de nuestra agencia, la Ley de Pesticidas de Carolina del Norte de 1971, y los servicios de la Sección.
Una exposición en español enfocada a enseñar a los trabajadores agrícolas como protejerse contra los pesticidas en el trabajo. El material puede ser presentado en las ferias de salud, los festivales latinos, o cualquier otro evento en el que los trabajadores participen.
Información sobre el programa de Entrenadores Designados para enseñar sobre seguridad y los pesticidas en Carolina del Norte.

The Pesticide Section has a full time bilingual staff member, and a number of materials available in Spanish. The Section provides the following services:

A short orientation in Spanish about our agency, the NC Pesticide Law of 1971, and the Section's services and enforcement policy.
A display in Spanish targeting farmworkers with basic information about pesticides and safety in the field. The display can be presented at health fairs, Hispanic festivals, or any other event where farmworkers are present.
