At seedling and early growth stages when corn is less than 12 inches tall

Collect the entire above-ground plant (about 1 inch
above the soil line) from 20 to 30 plants from random locations in the field for a representative sample.

Write these codes on the Plant Sample Information form:

Growth Stage:  S ( seedlings <4 inches)
                            E (early growth, 4 to 12 inches)

Plant Part:          W ( whole plant)

Plant Position:   U (upper plant)
