Job Title: Agricultural Commodity Grader
Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday (1/2 day on Saturday)
Seasonal Work: Requires attending 1 week Peanut Training School in Williamston, NC or possibly training on the job.
Description of Work: Grading peanuts at a buying station with a lead grader. Following procedures from USDA and NCDA&CS guidelines and ensuring that peanuts are graded properly. Most stations have 2 to 5 people working at them performing different functions of the grading process. There is a supervisor in the area for questions.
Job Starting: End of September to approximately November.
County Stations: Pitt, Martin, Edgecombe, Nash, Halifax, Northampton, Hertford, Gates, Chowan, Bertie, Washington, Perquimans and Bladen
Hourly Wage: Starting $9.25/$9.50, Training $7.25 (for 1 week, transportation provided)
