NCDA&CS co-organized the Whole Foods South Region Local Food and Artisan Summit on May 22 at the NC State Fairgrounds. The summit was free for all NC farmers and food companies. The summit included four educational seminars and a 2-hour table-top show. Seminars were conducted by Whole Foods marketing and quality standard professionals. More than 200 NC farmers and food companies had booths at the table-top show. They sampled their products to nearly 100 Whole Foods store team leaders, buyers and marketing personnel.
