Agribusiness Trade Mission to Turkey

Istanbul

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) invites you to participate in the Agribusiness Trade Mission (ATM) to Turkey! This ATM will provide an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand about evolving market conditions and the regulatory environment in a strategically important country – information you can utilize to develop strategies to export to Turkey.

When: June 10-14, 2013

Where: Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey

Why Participate?:   Turkey is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with a young population, growing wealth, and thirst for foreign products.  The Turkish government has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining strong economic development- moreover Turkey is geographically positioned to serve as a regional hub for secondary opportunities, especially in North Africa and the Middle East.

Target Sectors: Forest Products; Fruit/Nuts; Seafood; Organic Products; High Value Consumer Products; and Wine.

The agenda includes meetings between the governments of Turkey and the United States; presentations by public and private sector experts; one-on-one business meetings; and local site visits.

USDA will cover most on-ground expenses (local transportation, interpretation, conference venue) during the ATM, but participants are responsible for their airfare to Istanbul, lodging costs (at a discounted rate negotiated by USDA), meals, and other incidental expenses.
