Mar 19, 2010       USDA Market News Broiler/Fryer:  Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance   Majority prices were trending 1 cent higher in the Midwest, 3 cents higher in the East, and unchanged in the West when compared to early week prices. The market tone was at least steady to fully steady in the East, steady to fully steady in the Midwest, and steady to firm in the West. Retail and food service demand was light to fairly good, mostly moderate. Supplies of all sizes were light to moderate to satisfy current trade needs. Floor stocks were adequate to closely balanced. In the parts structure, movement was moderate to good for late week business. Supplies of breast items were very light and held with confidence. Wings and dark meat items were mostly moderate. In production areas, live supplies were moderate at mixed, but mostly desirable weights.
