Airy, NC Weighted Average Report for Tuesday Mar 16, 2010 Cattle Receipts: 1020 Last Week: 1321 Last Year: 525 Slaughter cows trended mostly 1.00 to 2.00 higher, bulls trended mostly steady. Feeder cattle trended mostly 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Slaughter cows made up 17 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 1 percent, replacement cows 5 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 77 percent. The feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 45 percent heifers, and 24 percent bulls. Near 20 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
