Emergency Programs - MHTD

Multi-Hazard events for which NCDA&CS prepares for, but are not limited to, the following events or circumstances:

• Natural Disasters:
  • Hurricanes and Severe Weather Events
  • Fires/Forest Fires
  • Earthquakes
  • Tornados
  • Catastrophic Animal or Plant Diseases or Pests
• Man Made Events:
  • Food recalls
  • Biologic accidents
  • Accidental introduction of a Foreign Animal Disease or a zoonotic disease into the states animal or livestock population
  • Accidental introduction of a foreign plant disease or pest into the state's plant or crop populations
• Terrorist Acts
  • Intentional introduction of a foreign animal disease
  • Intentional introduction of a plant disease
