Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will meet April 26 in Raleigh

WHO/WHAT:	The N.C. Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will hold its quarterly meeting, which is open to the public.
WHEN:	Thursday, April 26 1 to 4 p.m.
WHERE:	J.C. Raulston Arboretum 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh
WHY:	The agenda will include discussion of local food assessments, updates on the House Select Committee on Childhood Obesity and legislative actions, and a presentation on local food marketing efforts.
OTHER INFO:	The Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council was created by the General Assembly in 2009. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler serves as chairman of the 27-member group, which includes farmers, educators, food industry executives, state agency heads, community activists and local-food advocates.
