N.C. Plant Conservation Board will meet Jan. 16 in Raleigh

WHO/WHAT:	The N.C. Plant Conservation Board will hold its quarterly meeting to discuss program activities. The meeting is open to the public.
WHEN/WHERE:	Wednesday, Jan. 16, 9:30 a.m. Bodie Island Light House Room Green Square Office Complex 217 W. Jones St., Raleigh
OTHER INFO:	The N.C. Plant Conservation Program develops regulations, voluntary programs and cooperative partnerships to help protect imperiled species and their habitats. The program’s responsibilities include the listing of North Carolina’s endangered and threatened plant species and the development of conservation programs designed to permanently protect them. The program uses a host of methods and procedures to perpetuate native plants and their ecosystems, including the acquisition and management of important plant sites and habitats.
