Mountain Research Station to host Field day July 18

WHO/WHAT: The Mountain Research Station will host its annual Field Day to highlight ongoing agricultural research at the site. The program and tour will focus on beef cattle production, equipment demonstrations, farm safety, livestock waste management, composting, silage corn variety selection, and production information for vegetables, pumpkins, forages, broccoli and burley tobacco.

MORE INFO: Attendees can earn Pesticide and Animal Waste Management System Operator in Charge credits. The Field Day is sponsored by the Mountain Research Station, N.C. Cooperative Extension Service and the Haywood Soil and Water Conservation District. The meal is sponsored by Carolina Farm Credit.
