The Gov. James E. Holshouser Building was built in 1971 to serve the needs of the N.C. State Fairgrounds. Year-round the Holshouser Building hosts festivals, small conferences and trade shows, meetings, social events, and many other types of events.

Building Amenities

  • Completed in 1975, renovated in 1997
    This facility is mechanically heated, but is not air conditioned. Circular shape with windows around eave and exhaust fans assist with cross-ventilation. Floor fans are also available to assist with air circulation.
