Location
The Dare County office is located on Airport Road off US Highway 64 on the north end of Roanoke Island. Travel US Highway 64, and cross the Manns Harbor bridge over the Croatan Sound. Travel approximately half of a mile and turn right on Airport Road. Travel 1 mile to the airport. A separate office at Stumpy Point is responsible for fire suppression at the Dare County Bomb Range.

Open burning permits may be obtained online or in person from a local burn permitting agent.
