Two noted organizations have expressed their opinions that using turkey fryers can easily be unsafe. They have shown that fires can be caused, that extremely hot surfaces can be touched, and that the pot of hot oil can be easily toppled, causing significant and possibly life threatening injuries and extreme property damage. The taste of a fried turkey is a delight for many people during winter holidays and on summer special occasions. Don't let a substandard fryer or a lapse in safety vigilance turn your special time into a tragedy.
