Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund Advisory Committee to meet Dec. 6

WHO/WHAT:

The Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund will hold an advisory committee meeting to:

  • Review the Trust Fund budget,
  • Hear a Trust Fund activity report on Voluntary Ag Districts and Farmland Protection Plan maps and a Cycle 16 application update,
  • hear an easement status report on recent closings and upcoming closings,
  • and hear program updates on the program calendar, federal partnerships with the military and USDA, an impervious surface increase waiver rule and the 2022 Friends of Farmland Award Nominations.
WHEN:Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022
1 p.m.

BACKGROUND
INFORMATION:
The Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund supports the farming, forestry and horticulture communities within the agriculture industry, purchasing agricultural conservation easements, funding public and private enterprise programs to promote profitable and sustainable family farms, and providing funding for conservation easements targeted at the active production of food, fiber and other agricultural products.
