The N.C. State Fair is just around the corner, and it will surely be your “Best.Day.EVER!”
To prepare for the Fair, this weekend will be the last weekend for the flea market before the fairgrounds closes to the public. The Raleigh Market will close at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, and will re-open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
“The State Fair is North Carolina’s longest tradition. To prepare for such a big event, fairgrounds
access will be limited to those with credentials or special access passes issued by the N.C. State Fair
starting Monday, Sept. 25,” said Kent Yelverton, N.C. State Fair manager. Included in those with access are State Fair employees, vendors, exhibitors, and members of the news media, provided they have the appropriate permits.
The 2023 N.C. State Fair runs Oct 12-22 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The
fair provides lifelong memories for everyone that attends. With free entertainment, thrilling rides and games, thousands of animals, endless family activities, competitions, vendors and creative deep-fried delights, it is something many look forward to.
