Agronomic Services - Field Services

North Carolina is a highly diverse agricultural state, and every crop can present unique challenges. Our team of regional agronomists (RA's) represent the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services and serve commercial growers of all types and sizes throughout North Carolina.  They promote adaptive crop management through growers’ use of agronomic testing services, including:

-soil testing  -nematode assay   -plant tissue analysis  -waste and compost  -solution  -soilless media analysis

RA's are the perfect complement to our state-of-the-art laboratory services here at the Agronomic Division. They help clients monitor the nutritional status of crops, promote routine testing programs to prevent deficiencies, optimize yields and accurately time harvest. Often times, RA's troubleshoot to find a reason for nutrient problems, whether it be soil pH, type of fertilizer material, irrigation water quality, nematode pressure, or uneven nutrient application.

The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services encourages you to partner with your regional agronomist to receive unbiased advice on how to optimize your production practices with science-based recommendations from our nationally recognized agronomic labs.
