HOW
- Dry and grind your samples according to NCDA&CS Protocol. Samples that are not dried and ground per protocol will not be accepted as of September 1, 2024.
- Complete and print the Plant Tissue Sample Submission Form for Researchers and include it with the plant sample (s).
- Complete and print the NCDA Plant Sample ID Continuation page and include it with the plant sample (s).
- Include a printed copy of the signed (by the Agronomic Division) NCDA Cooperative Research Project Agreement with each batch of samples.
- Samples will not be accepted without these three printed documents included in each batch.
- Please notify the Plant Tissue Analysis Lab one week in advance of sample delivery.

- US Postal Service: 1040 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699. Allow additional time for delivery.
By Courier: Many NCSU County Extension offices offer a courier service to deliver laboratory samples to the Agronomic Division. Contact your County Extension office to inquire if this service is available in your area.
In person: Soil samples may be dropped off at the Agronomic Division loading dock Monday-Friday between the hours of 7: 00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., except N.C. State holidays.
