RALEIGH – To celebrate the bounty of local produce and N.C. food products, the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is hosting its fun-filled Summer Fest July 14 complete with kids’ activities, grilling demonstrations, plus free samples for guests.
This time of year, the variety of N.C. produce is as colorful as confetti, and visitors can come enjoy free watermelon slices, free peach samples, free tomato sandwiches and free corn recipe cards from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Learn how to grill like a boss and pick up tips on how to grill Wagyu burgers, beef tips, barbecue sliders and produce with experienced pitmaster, NCDA&CS marketing specialist and Master Blend Family Farms’ Ron Simmons, who will be doing cooking demonstrations during the event.
Summer Fest offers something for the whole family, including blueberry coloring pages and potato stamps for the kids, and a selfie booth to remember your trip to the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market.

The Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is open Wednesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The market is located at 1801 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte.
