Soil & Water - Job Approval Authority
North Carolina Soil and Water Conservation Commission (SWCC) Job Approval Authority (JAA) is the quality assurance process that ensures adequate consideration by competent employees in the planning, design, and installation of all best management practices (BMP) and technical assistance implemented through the NC SWCC programs, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Division of Soil and Water, and other conservation partners.

- NCDA&CS Division of Soil and Water Conservation Employees
- STEP 1 - Receive on-the-job training and gain experience in all aspects of planning, design and installing a BMP
- STEP 2 - Independently create two complete BMP JAA packages and demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities
- STEP 3 - Submit an application, using the link below, with JAA packages and signature pages for evaluation of technical competency
Individuals with NRCS JAA may also apply for SWCC JAA for comparable practice(s) by submitting an application form with proof of NRCS JAA for those comparable practices.
