The Construction Division oversees both redevelopment  and new construction projects for NCDA&CS facilities. Redevelopment refers to  any new construction on site that had pre-existing uses. New Construction refers to a completely new improvement for the facility, and ultimately, the State.

NCDA&CS facilities encompass a broad range of buildings and infrastructure related to supporting agricultural production, agricultural research, office buildings and laboratories supporting agronomics and animal diseases diagnostics.  These buildings serve several needs to keep NC agriculture moving and with many of them being several decades old. P&C Division works diligently with our facility managers to maintain and improve all locations. New constructed/redeveloped facilities come with significant financial benefit including lower maintenance cost, better energy efficiency and new technologies just to name a few.
