Agronomic Services- Laboratory Tours

Our labs are now open for GROUP educational tours.

Tours provide an inside look at:

1. The NCDA&CS Agronomic Services Division’s state-of-the-art laboratories and dedicated employees who deliver the trusted and reliable information you rely on.
2. One, two, or all three of our labs - the soils, plant-waste-solution-media and nematology labs. 
3. The sheer number of samples these labs process on an annual basis and the people and technology that make the workload possible.
4. The process samples go through in order for us to gather the vital information needed to give the robust results and recommendations you need to optimize your yard, landscape or crop production system.
5. The science behind what we do and what you see in your lab report.
6. The variety of different staff positions it takes to run our facility.
7. Our commitment to the State’s largest industry…agriculture!

Some restrictions apply:

1. Tours are available from March through October. Outside of this time the soils lab becomes extremely busy and it's a safety hazard.
2. The minimum age for tour attendees is twelve (12).
3. We can accommodate groups of up to 45-50 people. For groups larger than 12 – 15 people, we will split attendees into smaller groups.
