Often times uncertainty about if a sample has been received by the lab can weigh heavy on a submitter's mind.
One way to gain certainty is by creating a barcode label for your shipping box(es).
*Make sure that barcodes are affixed to the top right corner of the outside of the shipping container.
**If you are shipping multiple containers, please use 1 bar code for each in case containers get separated during transport.
- Log into PALS.
- Hover over "Utilities," then select "Create Barcodes for my shipments."
- Complete all pertinent information.

- Once information is entered, your shipping label will be created, and you can print it. It can be printed on a sticker or a full page of paper.
- Detach the section that indicates, "Retain this portion for your records," and then attach the shipping label to the outside of the shipper.

When received at the lab:
Upon arrival at the lab:
- Receiving staff will scan in the bar code.
- You will receive an email letting you know that we received your sample(s).
