• Essay Competition has four age brackets, arranged by school grade:
  • Class 1: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
  • Class 2: 3rd - 5th Grade
  • Class 3: 6th - 8th Grade
  • Class 4: 9th - 12th Grade
• Registration deadline is: Sunday, September 15, 2024.
• Essay submittal deadline is: Friday, September 27, 2024 by 5:00 pm.
• One entry per exhibitor.
• Competition is open to residents of North Carolina only.
• NC Substitute W-9 forms are required for prize money.
• Submit questions to: ncsfCompetitions@ncagr.gov
• General Rules and Regulations of the Fair will govern this department.
